Tokha Municipality providing relief to poor families

Tokha Municipality is to provide relief assistance to the economically poor families in the municipality. The municipality has announced that it was going to provide relief to the daily wagers and families living in abject poverty in view of the lockdown enforced since March 24 to prevent the spread of coronavirus pandemic. In this connection, the municipality has started collecting data on such families within the municipality. Mayor Prakash Adhikari said the municipality has started collecting data regarding families and individuals living in abject poverty for the purpose of providing them with livelihood support.

He said all the municipality wards have been written to collect particulars of poor people and families in their localities and forward the same to the municipality. The municipality has also started spraying disinfectant at the main bazaar and localities of the municipality in view of the corona virus infection. Deputy Mayor Gyan Maya Dangol said the municipality has also distributed face masks to the residents It distributed 500 face masks initially. According to her, the municipality has also set up an isolation ward at the Chandeshwori Primary Health Centre for keeping and treating suspected corona virus patients.
